A section of fans are worried after seeing a video of rapper Colonel Mustafa working at a construction site.
Many netizens believe that the once-flying rap legend is broke and has decided to start from scratch.
Mustafa, who has been absent from showbiz for a while, was caught on camera carrying building bricks at an unnamed mjengo site.
Mustafa appeared untidy with a straight face as he handed a brick to a fellow mjengo man while wearing a faded blue t-shirt and shabby pants.
However, a few celebrities who commented on the video hinted that the singer was about to release a new song.
Some netizens, however, accused the singer of clout-chasing, while others accused him of mismanaging his finances during his heyday.

Depression
The ‘Katika’ hitmaker admitted that he had struggled with depression for at least three years since leaving Nairobi Diaries on a popular entertainment TV show in July 2022.
“Things have been a bit tough, which forced me to temporarily withdraw from social media. I haven’t released music in five years. I’m back now.”
“Two or three years after I left Nairobi Diaries and things started to go wrong, I got depressed at some point,” he added.
Colonel Mustafa was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to a Kenyan father and a Tanzanian mother.
In the early 2000s, his debut single, “Monalisa,” became a huge hit as he proceeded to soar musically with his then-partner Nasty Thomas, with whom he founded the now-defunct Deux Vultures.
