Moses Kuria, Alfred Mutua Moved as Ruto Reshuffles Cabinet

President William Ruto on Wednesday evening, reshuffled his cabinet in a move that saw various ministries merged and renamed.

The office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary headed by Musalia Mudavadi has now been expanded and will include the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

CS Moses Kuria, who had previously headed Investments, Trade, and Industry, has been moved to the newly reconstituted and renamed Ministry of Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.

Alfred Mutua, who previously served as Foreign and Diaspora Affairs CS, now heads to the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.

The reorganization also saw the establishment of a new docket for the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts, and Heritage, which will be headed by Aisha Jumwa.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts, and Sports has been renamed to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and will remain under Ababu Namwamba.

Rebecca Miano now takes over at the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry, previously headed by Moses Kuria.


Peninah Malonza is now the CS at the Ministry of East African Community, the ASALs, and Regional Development.

Zachariah Njeru and Alice Wahome had their positions in the reshuffle.

Wahome is now the CS at the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development.

Njeru now takes over the Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation.
