TV star Steve Harvey and his wife, Marjorie Elaine Harvey, have cleared the air about divorce rumours.
This comes days after online speculation claimed Marjorie had filed for divorce after she was caught cheating on her husband.
Marjorie appeared to laugh off the claims on social media and claimed she attempted to ignore them but felt she had to respond to her fans.
Marjorie shared a verse from the Bible saying:
“When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”
She then went on to caption the Bible verse, adding:
“My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However, to whom much is given, much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are.”
Marjorie Elaine Harvey asked her followers to share a link to some information on “how to handle being lied about” with people who might be faced with a similar circumstance.
Steve Harvey has been posting videos of the couple spending time together, including one in which she hailed Marjorie as a “superwoman.”
However, on Saturday, he publicly dismissed the rumours in a statement at the Invest Fest 2023 event in Atlanta.
“We’re fine,” he said. “I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do because we’re fine. I ain’t got no time for rumours and gossip. God’s been good to me; I’m still shining.”
Several celebrities who know the couple have dismissed the reports that went viral over the weekend.

Among those who dismissed the cheating rumours are Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian businessman who identified himself as Harvey’s friend. Nwoko said the TV star assured him the claims were untrue.
“Fake news has been taken to new heights all over the world, and this is so unfortunate,” Nwoko wrote.
