Pastor Ng’ang’a is selling his well-known property to start a church in the US.
Pastor James Ng’ang’a is selling the Newstead Hotel, formerly known as the Sunny Hill Hotel, located on the Nakuru-Nairobi Road.
The founder of the Neno Evangelism Centre is selling the prestigious hotel for KSh 800 million.
The comical televangelist told the Nation that he was in dire need of funds to expand his ministry in America.
Pastor Ng’ang’a argued his mission on earth is to save souls, and he needs at least KSh 600 million to open and finance a church in America.
“That is why I am selling the hotel so that I can get enough money to finance the project,” he said.
Pastor James Ng’ang’a however, said the KSh 800 million offer was negotiable.
He further revealed his plans to relocate with his family to the US after his wife, Mercy Murugi, recently gave birth there.
According to the preacher, their firstborn son was born in South Carolina, which automatically makes the child an American citizen by birth.
“That is why I have been visiting America many times—to prepare the ground.” “My wife has been in America since she recently gave birth,” he said.
He praised the hotel, stating that it was a great place for outings, family gatherings, and business conferences, with amenities like a sizable outdoor playground, a top-notch swimming pool, and plenty of parking.
Ng’ang’a is known for theatrics, and videos of him casting demons have been the subject of debate on social media, especially TikTok.
