Woman who served Magufuli in her kibanda remembers him, reveals his favourite food

A woman named Mama Ndebile who owns a tiny restaurant has narrated long friendship with departed Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli.

Mama Ndebile who hails from Chato which is Magufuli’s hometown revealed that she knew the late for over 30 years.

Mama Ndebile remembered how she served Magufuli food in her hotel when he was a teacher, a Member of Parliament and even when he was a minister.

She noted that Magufuli was her frequent customer, kind one and very social.

He would call out ‘Mama Ndebile, are you around?’ And I would reply ‘Yes, I am.’ He would then go on to order his meal,” she said.

The hotelier disclosed that Magufuli loved fish with Ugali made from cassava, with some common leafy greens.

She said that Magufuli would pay for the meals and tip the hotel high amounts of money.

Mama Ndebile noted that she would never forget Magufuli positivity towards work and encouraging others to work.

Mama Ndebile could not also forget a day the president bought all the food in the area for local football players and paid KSh 15,000 for it.

She got emotional, cried while stating that the county and Chato area had lost a great man.
