A businessman in Turkana opted to donate his bar to a church for free following the closure of bars countrywide.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, the businessman said he gave the church his business premise following massive loss he has incurred since the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
“I have given this building to the church for free so that they can continue preaching the word of God,” the businessman said.
The investor handed over the bar to God manifestation centre (GMC) and has officially started operating as a church.
Speaking on the matter, the church lead preacher thanked the businessman for offering them the space for free of charge noting that he made the decision personally.
“We are running our services here for free, he has not asked for a single cent because it was a personal decision he made, no one influenced him and were are grateful for that,” said the preacher.
The multimillion bar dubbed Homeland club is a notable entertainment joint in the region and had played host to celebrated musicians such as Ali Kiba, Ommy Dimpoz, Avril, Kristoff, Rayvanny among other top artistes.
