Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has shared a video of his family praying for him as he battles sickness and series of court cases.
In a Facebook post dated Sunday, February 21, Sonko shared a 5.2 minutes live video of his family dedicating him to prayers as they seek God’s interference in their father’s unending woes.
“We place our father into your able hands, you fight for the powerless, every battle is lost to him in your able name, as his children, may you fight for his battles, no battle formed against him shall prosper,” said Satrine Osinya in his prayer.
This came days after Sonko failed to appear in court citing unstable medical condition that could not allow him to appear in court in person.
According to a medical report presented in court by Senior Counsel John Khaminwa, Sonko is suffering from bipolar, overweight and sleeping disorder.
However, the court ordered a team of doctors from Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) to assess Sonko’s medical condition and file a report in court before March 1.
The former county boss is facing among other cases robbery with violence, assault charges and terrorism claims.
