A section of Kenyans on Twitter has called on police to arrest Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed and his Dagoretti North counterpart Simba Arati over incitement remarks.
In a viral video, the ODM legislators are heard urging their supporters to unleash violence on rival Jubilee side.
Mohamed is heard making claims that Deputy President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet has been dishing out money at night to residents.
The MP then calls for burning down of DP’s Karen residence on claims that it’s the centre where Kibra residents are summoned to receive bribes.
“We give a notice, should we hear that money to bribe voters is coming from that house (DP’s residence), we’ll march there and burn down the house,” said the Suna East MP.
On his side, Simba Arati is heard saying ODM was ready “if came to violence”
On Monday, October 14, sections of Kenyans on Twitter through hashtag #ArrestAratiNaJunet called for the arrest of two legislators for propagating violence.
The remarks of the two comes a day after Jubilee’s candidate McDonald Mariga’s convoy was attacked by bands of youth suspected to belong to the orange party.
On Sunday, a man died after he fell off a vehicle that had just left a rally for ODM’s candidate Imran Okoth.
Here is the video that has Junet Mohamed inciting ODM supporters in Kibra:
