Ivy Minyow disclosed how their four-month-old firm landed a KSh 4 billion tender in the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) scandal.
Minyow made it all known on Thursday, December 10 while being interrogated by the Public Investments Committee (PIC) which was chaired by Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswamad Nassir.

It was reported that one of the firm’s director Margaret Muchemi visited the authorities offices in application to supply personal protective equipment (PPE).
According to reports her application was accepted before the evening of April 6.
Speaking during the interrogation, Minyow stated that the KEMSA officials never did any background check for better understanding of Kilig.
The lady also revealed that they were never asked for documents disclosing the owners of the firm.
Minyow noted that the Kilig owners were Wilbroad Gatei Gachoka and Zhu Jinping. She also stated that there was a woman who took over one Collins Wanjala who was the legal officer on May 6.
“I’m aware that Collins did not register the company, there were other owners,” she told the committee.
Minyow was asked to mention other directors of the firm but she refused making Ruaraka MP Tom Kajawang’ irked.

“You can’t be a witness and counsel for this company at the same time. You can’t enjoy both privileges otherwise we will conclude that you are trying to obstruct justice,” an angry Kajwang’ lashed out.
