Kiambu Governor James Nyoro names deputy

Kiambu Governor James Nyoro on Wednesday, February 19 nominated Joyce Wanjiku Ngugi, the widow of former Gatundu South MP Joseph Ngugi, as his deputy.

Joseph Ngugi died in May 2014, a year after being elected into office.

Nyoro also reshuffled his Cabinet.

Soon after being sworn in after impeachment of Waititu, various leaders who spoke during his swearing-in urged Nyoro to nominate a female deputy.
