Wayne Rooney’s son Kai Wayne Rooney is seemingly following his father’s footsteps after signing for Manchester United’s academy.
Taking to Twitter, Rooney shared photos of his 11-year-old son signing the deal with a shirt written ‘Rooney 10’ beside him.

“Proud day. Kai signing for Man Utd [sic]. Keep up the hard work son,” said Rooney.
Rooney’s wife Coleen Rooney also celebrated her son for the new deal with a text that read;
“Special night….. congratulations Kai. I love you and I am so proud of you. Keep trying your best,” Coleen wrote.
While at Manchester United, Rooney became the club’s all-time record goalscorer after spending 13 years at Old Trafford.
He scored 253 goals in 559 games, winning five Premier League titles, one Champions League, one Europa League, one FA Cup and three League Cups.

The striker signed for United from boyhood club Everton in 2004, and left in 2017 when returning to Goodison Park for a season before moving to DC United.
