An unknown number of people are feared trapped inside a four-storey residential apartment that collapsed in Kericho town on Tuesday, June 9 night.
The building collapsed with only the upper storey remaining intact as three storeys sunk.

According to Kenya Red Cross, the Tebs View Court, owned by a local contractor collapsed at around 7:30 pm
“Tebsview Building, owned by Kericho contractor Charles Chaglano collapsed slightly after 7:30pm,” said Kericho Red Cross official Sofia Tuwei.
According to witnesses, people trapped in the rubble were heard screaming for help.
“There was a voice of a distressed woman calling for help to rescue her two children trapped underneath the rubble of the collapsed building,” a witness stated.
Red Cross officials are currently at the scene coordinating the rescue mission.
