Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz on Monday, April 27 set the record straight once and for all regarding his break up with baby mama Tanasha Donna.
Speaking during an interview on Wasafi FM, Diamond confirmed that he had indeed separated with Tanasha but vehemently denied cheating allegations raised against him by her.
The WCB CEO maintained that the break up with Tanasha was purely on grounds of their differences on how to prepare for their future.
“To be honest Tanasha and I are no longer together. There were things that were out of our ability, so we simply decided to give each other space or maybe, each of us, must take own route… We differed on how to prepare for our future. We did not arrive at an amicable decision on this subject… She wanted this and I wanted that so I said maybe each of us wants time to reflect on the right path for us to take… We agreed as civilized people and it is not about me being caught cheating. That has never happened,” he said.
Tanasha had announced through her Instagram page that she broke up with Diamond for cheating on her including other allegations she leveled against him.
The Jeje hit maker said before their differences and relationship dramas emerged, he had seriously considered marrying the Kenyan radio presenter as he explained why he always defended her publicly whenever anyone attacked her on social media.
“I seriously wanted to marry Tanasha at 100 per cent or even one million per cent and that was why if someone spoke bad of her, I would simply post her picture as a clear message of how I love and respect her,” he said
Diamond also confirmed reports that Tanasha converted to ‘Islam’. According to Diamond she asked one of his managers at WCB to convince Tanasha to convert to ‘Islam’ during their visit to Diamond’s home town Kigoma.
“We were in Kigoma when she became a Muslim and I thank God. I also thank Ricardo Momo (a manger at WCB) I told him that if he pushes her to do it, I’ll pay him. He didn’t force her but he taught her. When she came to me to tell me that she wanted to change I told her to go and think about it and come tell me so she told me that she was sure,” he asserted.
