Former NTV presenter Debarl Inea has made TV comeback after landing a job at Mediamax owned TV station K24.
Reports reaching GOTTA.news indicate that Inea was hired to replace Ann Kiguta following her resignation from the media station.
The report further stated that the media personality will be hosting Punchline Show which airs on Sunday aftet the prime time news.
The skilled show host was part of NTV journalists who were laid off by the Nation Media Group in July 2020 citing financial instabilities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As earlier reported by GOTTA.news, Kiguta resigned from K24 over a fundamental disagreement on the editorial processes at the station.
She also thanked her viewers for standing with her throughout the period noting that she could no longer be part of the show in ‘good conscience.’
“It is with regret that today I announce that I will not be returning to the program. Owing to a fundamental disagreement on the editorial processes and direction the show was being forced to take, I suspended my services as an independent contractor to the show on 21st November 2020
“My decision was guided by the Code of Conduct contained in the Media Council of Kenya Act which guides all journalists practising in the republic of Kenya. As a result. I can no longer in good conscience continue to be a part of Punchline,” read Kiguta’s resignation letter.
