A family in Kipturgut village, Sotik in Bomet County has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of their kin.
According to multiple sources, the deceased, a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate died under unclear circumstances suspected to be suicide.

Police reports indicated that the deceased was found dangling from a tree inside his parents’ homestead.
It was also noted that the student had attempted to commit suicide on Saturday, March 21, but was rescued by relatives.
The 26-year-old candidate was set to retake his KCSE exams slated for Friday, March 26.
He had been re-admitted at the Keroncho Secondary School to have the retake after his first attempt some years back.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, Sotik Sub-County Police Commander Alex Shikondi said the body of the deceased was moved to Longisa County referral Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

The body will after the autopsy released to the relatives for burial.
