Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz’s manager and MP Babu Tale has recalled his late wife’s advise on remarrying before her death.
Speaking during a recent interview, the MP mentioned that while on her hospital bed, his wife, Shamsa Kombo insisted that he should focus on raising his kids instead of remarrying.
“Mke wangu aliniambia nisioe, nakumbuka hiyo siku nimeshinda naye Muhimbili, akaniambia nimechoka kuishi hii hali, akanishika mkono kuniambia mimi naondoka, lea watoto lakini usioe, usioe, usioe” said Tale.
The lawmaker also took the opportunity to recall how his departed wife played ‘hard to get’ for almost a year before finally giving him a chance.
“Marehemu mke wangu tulifahamiana Magomeni Kota kwa sababu na yeye alikuwa anaishi pale, nilimtongoza mwaka mzima hajanikubali. Enzi hizo nilikuwa mtu flani rafu halafu yeye ana mambo ya kizungu” he added.
He further admitted to missing his wife especially now that he holds a political office noting that she would help him empower his constituents especially the women.
“Kinachoniliza ni kupoteza mtu ambaye angeweza kuniongoza kwa vitu vingine, nimepata uongozi lakini yule aliyetakiwa kula good time hayupo,” he said.
This came months after Tale refuted claims that he sacrificed his wife to get to power.
Speaking during an interview with Clouds FM, Tale dismissed the claims saying that they were generated by people who are jealous of his progress.
“People who say that I killed my wife by sacrificing her to black magic are just propagandists. I really loved my wife and I could never go against the marriage institution by breaking it all in a bid of chasing leadership and power,” he said.
