Al-Shabaab reveals names, faces of assailants behind Dusit D2 attack

Al-Shaabab militant group linked with Al-Qaeda have disclosed in a video evidence names and faces of assailants behind the DusitD2 attack which happened in January 2019.

According to Al-Shabab, the attack was as a result of the Jerusalem city being acknowledged by the US president Donald Trump as the Jewish state capital city.

In the seven-minute video clip, they revealed the names, faces, Jihadist clans and tribes.

Two of them were Somalians while three were Kenyans and the master plan of the attack was a Kenyan.

Their names were disclosed as ; Osman Ahmed Hassan, Ali Salim, Abdigani Arap Yusuf, Mohamed Adam Nur and Mahir Khalid.

President Uhuru Kenyatta had stated in January 2019 that five of the attackers were killed by the army.

Kenya had to work on putting strategies to to deal with the attacks from militant groups.

Multi-agency coordination, advanced training and equipment upgrades among others were methods put forward to minimize the attacks.

National Intelligence Service (NIS) was also instructed to Investigate those financing Al-Shabab.
