A 44-year-old man has been charged with creating disturbance after he allegedly insulted his mother for denying him food and inheritance.
James Kiiru is accused of breaking the window panes of his mother’s house in Kasarani, Nairobi and threatening to beat her up for failing to serve him food, Nairobi News reports.
Kiiru, the court was told, also demanded some rental houses to lease out.
The court heard that Kiiru returned home at around 10pm on November 23 and began raining insults on his mother Jacinta Wanjiru Kinuthia.
It is said Kiiru shattered the window panes after his mother “took too long” to open the door him.
He is alleged to have threatened to break in and kill everyone.
Kiiru who appeared before senior principal magistrate Angelo Kithinji of Makadara law courts denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of KSh 20,000.
The case will be heard from March 25.
