Email of Ezra Chiloba threatening Roselyn Akombe on testifying on Msando’s murder surfaces

Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner Roselyn Akombe has accused Ezra Chiloba of threatening her after offering to testify on Chris Msando’s death.

Akombe said she received threats from the former IEBC CEO a day after saying she is willing to testify and unveil Msando killers.

In a cryptic message sent to Akombe via email, Chiloba threatened Akombe against revealing anything as they also had details regarding the matter but kept for themselves.

“Dear Roselyn. Do not attempt to rewrite history. Our silence is not yours,” Chiloba said.

On Friday, July 31 Akombe claimed that Msando betrayed by some of his colleagues at IEBC.

“Painful that instead on this day three years ago, your own colleagues led you to the slaughterhouse. Like Judas, they sold you for thirty cents. We will find justice for you, no matter how long it takes,” Akombe tweeted on Friday.

Responding to the matter, Wafula Chebukati said it was unfair for Akombe to speak three years after Msando was brutally killed.

“We all want to see justice for the family of Msando and Msando. We have said this right from the beginning. Akombe should help authorities solve the murder,” he said.

“It appears there is something she knows which we don’t know. I believe she should provide that information to the investigative agencies. Perhaps it will help with the investigations to be completed,” he added.

Msando, was found dead in Muguga Forest in Kikuyu, Kiambu County on July 31st, 2017, a day after he was allegedly abducted in Nairobi by unknown people.

His mutilated body was found together with that of 21-year-old Carol Ngumbu.

Postmortem examination revealed he was strangled to death.
