BBC journalist Larry Madowo becomes the first black person to lecture at Carleton University in Canada.
Madowo made history at the Carleton University annual keynotes which have been held for the past 24 years.

As he was delivering the speach which he titled a stranger in a strange land he narrated his story adding the disputed presidential elections in Kenya in 2007-2008.
He gave an example of it using the bedlam experienced in the US having President Donald Trump trashing Joe Biden’s presidential win.
Madowo saw similiraties in the two scenarios having that Trump has taken cases to court and declined the legitimacy of Biden’s win.
He also acknowledged the work done by journalists who report what they witnessed in the conflicting areas.
The former NTV news anchor focused mainly on the turmoil surrounding the embroiled US.

He also mentioned that conflicts can be of any form.
