Fresh details have emerged on football legend Diego Maradona’s last moments just days after his death.
According to reports, the football icon’s personal nurse, Gisela Madrid admitted that he fell and hit his head days before he died.
The nurse further said that after the incident, Maradona was neither taken to hospital for checkups nor subjected to an MRI or CT scan to determine the extent of the head injury.
“Maradona fell on the Wednesday of the week before his death. He fell and hit his head, but they didn’t take him to the hospital for an MRI or CT scan,” Madrid’s lawyer said.
Attorney Rodolfo Baquè also said that Maradona was not attended to for three days after the incident.
However, a nurse who was on night shift told private medical firm Medidom that she had checked on Maradona by 6.30 am and claimed that he was breathing well.
The 60-year-old legend died of cardiovascular arrest on Wednesday, November 25, at his house in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
