Sindika Dokolo, the Congolese businessman and husband of Angolan billionaire Isabel dos Santos, has died in a diving accident in Dubai on Thursday, October 29
The sad news were confirmed by the family members and other media outlets

The 48-year-old man was popularly known for his love in art culture and as a big shrewd businessman
“A cultured dandy and shrewd businessman, Dokolo was also a keen observer of the regional political scene. He was 48 years old.”
The 48-year-old art collector married dos Santos, Africa’s richest woman and daughter of former President of Angola Jose Eduardo dos Santos in 2002.
The couple were recently accused of siphoning off more than $1 billion from Angolan state companies.
Dokolo was also the son of the businessman Augustin Dokolo Sanu
He luckily inherited his father’s fortune following his death in 2001
Sanu is remembered for building a business empire which became one of the biggest in Zaire under the government of the late Mobutu Sese Seko.
Part of his largest businesses is the bank of Kinshasa.

He grew up loving business and got passion in different economic sectors.
Dokolo founded the grassroots movement “Congolais debout” Congolese, stand up and financially backed other organisations and figures close to the opposition.

Dokolo’s wife had recently fallen into the crosshairs of courts in Angola and Portugal, where the couple’s assets, estimated at several billions of dollars, are frozen.
