Rapper Kennedy Ombima aka King Kaka claims he has been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
This comes days after release of his seminal lyrical poem Wajinga Nyinyi which slams Kenyan leaders’ greed and the voters for electing people with corrupted morals to leadership positions.
Also, Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru, through her lawyer, has threatened to sue the rapper for defamation. Waiguru is demanding the artiste pulls down the song and issues an apology.
However, city lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi has maintained there’s nothing defamatory in the song and has promised to represent the artiste in case he is sued.
The announcement went viral with netizens promising to stand with the rapper.
The poem has stirred the conscience of the country with vast majority hailing the message conveyed as “the truth” of the Kenyan political scene.
