Roxie Washington, the mother of George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter, Gianna Floyd has spoken for the first time demanding justice for her baby daddy.
Speaking during a brief news conference inside Minneapolis City Hall, Washington remembered Floyd as a good father regretting that her daughter will not have a father. She further maintained that Floyd was a good person.

“At the end of the day, they get to go home and be with their families. Gianna doesn’t have a father. He will never see her grow up, graduate. He will never walk her down the aisle,” she said.
“If there’s a problem she’s having and she needs her dad, she does not have that anymore. I’m here for my baby, and I’m here for George. Because I want justice for him. I want justice for him ’cause he was good. No matter what anybody thinks, he was good,” she added.
Washington was accompanied by her daughter, dressed in a white shirt, tennis shoes and light blue jeans, former National Basketball Association player Stephen Jackson, family lawyers Justin Miller and Chris Stewart.
“Why do we have to see her pain? I am here to get justice for my brother, and somehow, goddammit, we are going to get it. It has to stop,” Jackson said.
