Gatundu South MP found himself in trouble during the Kitui BBI rally. Bands of youth attacked the MP and it took the intervention of police to protect the MP who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
In one of the photos shared online, Kuria is seen sitting on the ground surrounded by police officers and a crowd.
In another clip, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu urges on the youth to eject the MP and is joined by the newly elected Kiambu Governor James Nyoro.
“Nobody can insult President in my meeting. Atolewe,” said Ngilu.
Kuria was later offered a sit behind the dais after the intervention of ODM leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka.
Kuria has recently been launching scathing attacks on President Uhuru with the most recent being Friday’s remarks that the president should improve the economy as ” People will not eat the BBI.”
