Three boys from Chulaimbo Boys Secondary School in Kisumu County have been sent home for a three-week suspension after they were caught stealing chapatis from the school canteen.
Apparently, this was not the first time Chapatis were missing from the school canteen as 200 chapattis are reported missing every week in the school.
One of the parents of the boys who got into trouble revealed to Citizen Digital that the boys were caught red-handed, and the deputy principal was forced to summon their parents over the incident.
The parent was adamant to take her son home with the opinion that the three-week suspension was hefty in comparison to the crime.
Kisumu West Sub-county Education Officer Mary Moraa Ochoe has promised to reach out to the school management owing to the fact that the incident did not warrant such a decision.
The deputy principal of the school is not yet reachable for any comments concerning the incident.
