DP William Ruto’s wife, Rachel Ruto held special prayers for Jubilee’s candidate Mc Donald Mariga ahead of the November 7 by election.
In the photos seen by Gotta.news, Mariga is seen kneeling and being prayed for by Mama Rachel Ruto and an unidentified pastor.
The prayers were held at National Prayer Altar located in DP Ruto’s Karen residence during the church’s weekly prayer and fasting fellowship session on Wednesday, October 30.
“Mcdonald Mariga visited us this Wednesday at the National Prayer Altar during our weekly Prayer and fasting fellowship. We joined together in prayer as we all wished him the best as he runs for the seat of member of parliament for Kibra constituency,” read a message posted on Rachel Ruto’s Facebook page.
The DP’s wife also posted Bible texts, to encourage Mariga who has faced numerous hurdles since he declared his interest for the seat.
“Psalms 20:1-9 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion; May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice.”
Mariga will face off with ODM’s Imran Okoth, ANC’s Eliud Owallo among other candidates in the by-election slated for November 7.
