Don’t get drunk with power: MP Kimani Ichung’wa bashes PS Kibicho

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa has accused Interior PS Karanja Kibicho of getting drunk with power.

Ichung’wa who is a staunch Tanga Tanga supporter and a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto was reacting to Kibicho’s remarks on Friday, September 20 warning Tanga Tanga faction not to ‘confuse’ Kirinyaga people.

“Don’t get drunk with power. The power you’re bragging about belongs to the people of Kenya.  You have no authority to set limits where we can go in this country.

“That power has been granted to the President, his Deputy President and all elected leaders to traverse every point of this Country,” said Ichung’wa.

Kibicho had sounded a warning to Tanga Tanga while speaking at St Peters Gathuthuini Secondary School after commissioning a borehole warning the group’s activities were distracting residents’ focus on development.

You just come here to reap where you did not sow…. This is the kind of confusion we will not entertain,” said Kibicho in what was interpreted as a veiled attack on Ruto.

Meanwhile, the Kikuyu MP has slammed Jubilee party Secretary General Raphael Tuju for associating with ODM.

To the Secretary General of our Party, Jubilee, it is high time you made a choice to either be a proactive and loyal member to the objectives and activities of Jubilee or vacate your position and join ODM.

We cannot have Jubilee members attending night meetings to drum up support for an ODM Candidate, while Jubilee has fronted its own candidate…” he said
