President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday, February 9 set social media abuzz after he drove himself to Nyayo Stadium to inspect Mzee Daniel Moi’s Tuesday’s funeral service preparations.
Uhuru drove himself from State House to Nyayo National Stadium and was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Samson Mwathethe.
Uhuru’s arrival at the Nyayo Stadium was marked with minimal fanfare thanks to a lean security detail.
Moi will be given a military sendoff having been the president and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces for 24 years.
