President Uhuru Kenyatta has broken his silence on the heated senate debate on the Third Basis Revenue Allocation Formula.
Speaking on Friday, August 21 while issuing land title deeds at the KICC, Uhuru dismissed claims that he is involved in the Senate stand-off.

The Head of State the formula was proposed by the Commission on Revenue Allocation and has nothing to do with him.
“The money being debated is not mine and this formula was proposed by SRC, indicating that money should be sub-divided equally.
“Now that they are saying that residents of Nairobi are rich, my question is, would residents from Embakasi and Korogocho, who do not have toilets, have similar views?” He posed.
Uhuru also called out leaders whom he said have chosen the path of screaming and complaining instead of working.
He insisted that he and his team was solely focused on working and bringing development to Kenyans.
“Our work as leaders is not to complain but to come up with solutions… These days I don’t talk much but I read newspapers and I see people complaining all over.
“As for me, you will recognize me by the work I do not by how much I scream. You will see my work and those who are making noises can continue,” Uhuru said.
Uhuru’s remarks came days after Senate failed to resolve the impasse for the ninth time.

However, the house formed a 12-member committee from both parties on Monday, August 17, to find consensus.
