A Ugandan man and his daughter have found themselves in trouble after taking advantage of the coronavirus crisis and fears to dupe the public that they were in possession of a vaccine.
The two were nabbed in Uganda’s Mayuge District after word spread that they were issuing out the supposed vaccine.
The father and daughter were however released on bail as investigations are still ongoing to find out whether they were issuing out the vaccine for free or for a particular fee.
Samples of their concoction have since been taken for testing at the government forensic laboratory in Kampala.
There has not been any confirmed case of Corona Virus in East Africa and authorities have intensified screening at ports of entry.
