Ugandan citizens online have been angered by politician Salaamu Musumba after a video went viral showing her walking on the backs of her supporters during a campaign rally.

The leader used the backs of her supporters as a red carpet while making an entrance in her home town of Kamuli in Eastern Region of Uganda.

Being received as queen, members decided to lie down forming a carpet for her.

Besides her was her two bodyguards who ensued she does not slip and fall.

A member who had already been stepped on would stand up and queue again ahead of her.


I’m the ceremony, other supporters stood at the sides cheering and making the grand entrance a mighty one.

Musumba is among contestants in the Kamuli Municipality Member of Parliament seat.

She has always reminded citizens that she is a woman of ideas ready to change lives many.

“I love politics; it is an opportunity to change people’s lives forever in an hour. You can seat in Parliament and pass a policy that can empower people’s lives forever,” she said as posted on her Facebook page.
