The country’s top newspapers on Thursday, November 25 widely reported on the 2022 politics with DP William Ruto and his allies seeking Chief Jusrice Martyr Koome to quit a committee tasked with overseeing election preparedness.

According to the daily, Kirinyaga Women Representative Purity Ngirici sais she is weighing options following the new developments in United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

To this, the outspoken politician noted that she is in the process of self-reflection to ascertain his support for DP Ruto’s presidential bid.

Ngirici has been a no-show in UDA rallies since the entry of Kirinyaga governor, Ann Waiguru.

A fresh petition seekimg the removal of High Court judge Said Chitembwe over alleged gross misconduct has been filed at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

According to the claimant, Francis Wambua, the judge is not fit to hold office due to his alleged corrupt dealings.

Wambia went ahead to accuse Chitembwe of engaging in corrupt dealings during the cases filed by former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko challenging his impeachment at the High Court.

According to Wiped, the ODM leader, One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals, and a representative of President Uhuru Kenyatta will attend the event.

The event will take place at the Kasarani Sports Complex.

According to the daily, Kenyan lawyer Paul Gicheru’s trial at ICC has taken a twist with the prosecution forwarding evidence that implicates DP Ruto in the witness corruption programme that sabotaged the case against him and radio journalist Joshua arap Sang.

In the brief signed by Deputy Prosecutor James Stewart, the evidence allegedly established that the pattern of witness interference was conducted for the benefit of the DP.

DP Ruto now risks being charged with corruptly influencing a witness which could earn him five years in jail for every count and payment of reparations to the victims of 2007/2008 post-election violence.

According to the daily, police officers in Kisumh released 18 people arrested following the failed robbery attempt on Equity Bank.

Those arrested included fourteen bank staff and four customers, including a university lecturer.

County criminal investigations officer Francis Wanjau said they all recorded statements and will report to the station whenever required.
