Singer Harmonize suffers blow as leading producer abandons Konde Gang

Tanzanian Bongo artiste Rajab Kahali popularly known as Harmonize has suffered a blow after his producer Bonga terminated contract with him.

In a press conference on Thursday February 20, Bonga disclosed that there was no beef between him and Harmonize before his exit, adding he was ready to work with the artist in future projects.

The aspiring musician also refuted claims that he was being underpaid by Harmonize.

He stated that he had notified Harmonize about his plan to join Lykos Empire and he wished him well.

“It’s something we had discussed. I told him I want to move out and he gave me his blessings. Growth is vital for anyone, you know there is no freedom in working under someone. You need to develop wings and start depending on yourself,” he said.

He said that he was joining Lycos as an artiste and asked his fans to support him in his music the way they supported him when he was a producer.

Harmonize left Wasafi Classic Baby headed by Diamond Platinumz in October 2019 to start his own record label called Konde Gang.

The ‘Uno’ hitmaker who had signed a 15-year contract with Wasafi was required to pay the label KSh 24 million for breach of contract.

Due to this, he was forced to sell three of his houses and a parcel of land to enable him exit the deal and be handed the copyright of all of his music.

Before leaving Wasafi Harmonize was the second-highest selling artist at WCB after Diamond.
