Nakuru: Police officer found dead inside his car

A dead body of a police officer, John Ong’weno attached at the Kasarani Police Station in Nakuru County discovered inside his car on Monday, July 5.

The body of Ong’weno was found by his colleague Joseph Ologe in the parking lot while he was taking a walk.

According to a police report, Ologe noticed that the vehicles window panes of the vehicle were broken.

He decided to get closer to have a nice view and it was when he saw the lifeless body of Ong’weno lying in the car.

Eric Wanyonyi the Nakuru East Deputy police commander alongside sub-county criminal Investigation officer and the OCS Nakuru arrived at the scene and confirmed the officer’s death.

According to a police report, Ong’weno was shot on the right side of his head and bled to death.

In the scene, an empty cartridge, a stone and an iron bar were found and will be used as exhibits.

The detectives also discovered that the constable’s ceska pistol was stolen.
