It has come to the shock of the Kakamega fans who love watching the bullfighting games held in the county after one of the best bulls dies.
The greatest bull named Malinya Pogba was ill for a few months until he was unable to fight it and kicked the bucket on Friday, October 16.

Reports from the owner who is former Kakamega senator said that Malinya was suffering from East Coast Fever.
In his statement he remembered the late Iminyi who was the champion before Malinya.
“The great Malinya Pogba is gone. Gone to rest with Iminyi the G.O.AT. He has just succumbed to East Coast Fever. Long live the king of the beautiful game,” he mourned.
Bull fighting is a cultural practice that has become famous in western Kenya.
It is majorly practiced by the residents of Kakamega County specifically in Shinyalu and Ikolomani constituencies.
Bull fighting has been the pillar of fostering peace among the communities of the Luhya tribe.
It is also used to mark important events like funerals and many more.
The aspiring Kakamega governor is well known for organising the events and popularising them.
The politician was nicknamed as the bullfighter.
A few months ago Kalwale asked the community to stop the game for a while until the pandemic is over.
“I had earlier told you to suspend bull fighting and you listened to me. I once again implore on you to stop this game due to the devastating effects of COVID-19.
It involves getting into contact with several people…it is more dangerous than going into the bar or going to the church..so please stop it,” he warned.
