Bull fighting is a cultural practice that has become famous in western Kenya.

It is majorly practiced by the residents of Kakamega County specifically in Shinyalu and Ikolomani constituencies.

Bull fighting has been the pillar of fostering peace among the communities of the Luhya tribe.

It is also used to mark important events like funerals and many more.

The aspiring Kakamega governor is well known for organising the events and popularising them.

The politician was nicknamed as the bullfighter.

A few months ago Kalwale asked the community to stop the game for a while until the pandemic is over.

“I had earlier told you to suspend bull fighting and you listened to me. I once again implore on you to stop this game due to the devastating effects of COVID-19.
