Confirming her death, Chepkosgei’s father said that he found her body dangling in the kitchen.

“I didn’t believe my eyes when I saw her dangling inside the kitchen after searching for her in all the rooms. I touched her heart and noticed she was no more,” the father said.

Remembering her best moments, the father revealed that Chepkosgei made her family proud after passing her KCPE exams.

“I have lost my best friend, a bright girl who made us proud when she scored 351 marks at Lingawai Primary School. It’s really painful to lose her,” he added.

The father reported the matter to Kondoo police station.

Kesses police boss Cicilia Kemboi noted that investigations had been launched.

“We cannot give you a true picture of what happened to the girl because nobody was with her, but we have already launched investigations which we expect will lead us in the right direction,” Kemboi stated.
