Duale has dutifully defended Uhuru, Jubilee – MP Oscar Sudi slams ouster plans

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has slammed plans to remove Aden Duale from the Majority Leader position in the National Assembly.

Sudi said there was no justification to remove Duale as he had proved to be one of the staunchest supporters of the Jubilee Party agenda and the government.

” If there’s a leader who has supported and fought for Jubilee..if there’s someone I’ve never heard or seen going against the directives of the government in Jubilee, then that’s Duale,” said Sudi on Monday, June 8.

Sudi’s remarks come at a time when Kieni MP Kanini Kega is leading an effort to oust the Garissa legislator from his Majority Leader position.

On Monday, House Majority Whip and Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe had received a petition signed by 126 MPs seeking to remove Duale as the House Majority Leader.

Wangwe said he has since forwarded to the party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He further disclosed the party would soon be convening another Parliamentary Group meeting to decide the fate of the Majority Leader.

“After consulting with the party leader and the party, it has been decided that the Secretary-General Raphael Tuju will communicate when the meeting was will take place,” said Wangwe.
