Deputy President William Ruto and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale have wished Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and others injured in the Wednesday morning accident a quick recovery.
Tuju was involved in a grisly accident at Magina along Nairobi-Nakuru highway while heading to former president Daniel Moi’s funeral.
“Our prayers and best wishes to Cabinet Secretary and Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju and all those that were involved in today’s morning accident at Magina in Lari, Kiambu County. We wish you a speedy recovery,” wrote Ruto on his Facebook account.
Others who were injured are receiving treatment at Kijabe. Earlier reports indicated that the Matatu driver is in critical condition and is on life support.
“My prayers and thoughts are with the @JubileePartyK Secretary and Cabinet Secretary, Raphael Tuju, his driver, aide, the Matatu driver and his passengers involved in a grisly accident this morning along Nairobi – Nakuru highway. I wish you all a Speedy Recovery,” wrote Duale.
Other leaders including Machakos governor Alfred Mutua and Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed visited Tuju at Kijabe mission hospital before he was transferred to Karen Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
