Kenyan has recorded 96 new COVID-19 infections under the last 24 hours, bringing the tital tally of confirmed cases in the country to 36,301.
Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefing, Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi said the new cases were recorded from 3,270 samples tested under the same period.
Out of the new cases, 92 are Kenyans while 4 are foreigners with 70 being men and 26 women.
The youngest case was identified as a 5-year-old child while the oldest was identified as a 81-year-old.
121 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 23,364.
97 patients were discharged from the home-based care system while 24 were discharged from various hospitals around the country.
Unfortunately, 10 patients succumbed to the virus, bringing the total tally of deaths in the country to 634.
