Kenyan born semi-pro basketballer Chudier Thowath Pal was arrested and detained in Australia after his girlfriend died mysteriously in their house.

Reports indicate that the body of the lady was found in the burning house leading to pal’s arrest on Saturday, January 2.

The lady who is reported to be his girlfriend and him lived in Doubleview, Perth. Prior.

Cops had earlier locked down the street and launched a manhunt for the 29-year-old basketball star.

He was later arrested that day at around 2.09 pm and remande as officers started Investigating on the case.


Sources indicate that nobody has been charged yet even if the case is treated as suspicious.

Officers told the court on Sunday, January 3 that he had showed signs of psychosis – a condition that affects the way your brain processes information.

Court order cops to detain him for one week as he undergoes menta check up.

This followed after his girlfriend announced publicly on Facebook on November 2 2020 that she was in complicated relationship.

Pal grew up in Kenya and later on flew to Australia chasing his talent as a basketballer.

He played in NBL1 teams including the Rockingham Flames and the Mandurah Magic.
