Popular Citizen TV show, Zora is over.
This comes even as a section of Zora cast shared moving tributes on social media as the show winds up after airing for over a year.
In an update, actress Sarah Hassan who played Zora on the show penned a touching message that detailed her journey at the highly-rated TV show.
“TBT to photos from the first episodes of Zora Series. The research I did to prep for Zora in regards to domestic violence really broke my heart I pray for a world where no one goes through any form of abuse, where everyone is kind
“But until then, if you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship, please, talk to someone, know that it’s okay to ask for help and please report it,” the actress wrote on Instagram.
On the other hand, Jackie Matubia who played Nana noted that she had an amazing time shooting the show, hoping that her fans picked lessons from the show.
“It was amazing playing the role Nana. It’s a bittersweet feeling taking a bow but I hope you learned something from our story…. It’s always a pleasure telling this story it’s never goodbye it’s see you soon,” she stated.
The show focused on Zora who is the titular character, her family including the husband, Fella and son, Simba.
Difficulties both in their marriage and in bringing up their son, are further complicated with the arrival of Madiba.
Notwithstanding the scolding of her mother, the support of her best friend Nana gives Zora the power to overcome her problems, while the storyline navigates a dramatic set of events.
According to sources at Citizen TV, a new show dubbed Sultana is set to premiere soon and it will air at the same time slot as Zora.
“There is another show coming called Sultana (to replace Zora). Zora will be ending in the next few weeks,” a source was quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
