Young Girl Wows Azimio Supporters with Sweet Swahili Poem Praising Raila in UK

ODM leader Raila Odinga held an engagement forum with Kenyans living in the United Kingdom during his ongoing working tour.

The highlight of the meeting was when a 10-year-old girl took to the stage and recited a Swahili poem to the amazement of the attendees.

In the poem, Natasha Macharia hailed Raila’s leadership skills, backing his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming August 9 General Election.

The denarian described the former premier as a saviour who would bring the change that Kenyans have been longing for including improving their standards of living.

“You are a good leader, you have stood with the oppressed, we all believe in you, we know when you take over leadership, you will better our economy, education and infrastructure, you are our saviour, may God protect you,” she said in Swahili narration.

After the performance, the audience rose to their feet, praising her for how she had eloquently and exceptionally delivered the message.

The Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate then invited Macharia to sit next to him where he had been flanked by other Kenyan leaders including Governor Charity Ngilu and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.

When he stood to speak, Raila heaped praise on Natasha for her intelligence describing her as his new friend.

“I have met a new friend called Natasha and she is a wonderful girl. She is very bright and intelligent at only 10-years-old,” said Raila.
