Woman clears KSh 410 school fees balance 51 years later

A Nigerian woman has warmed the hearts of many after clearing fee balance she owed her former school.

Interestingly, the woman cleared from the school 51 years ago.

According to a report by TUKO, Toyin Egbinola cleared from St Loius Secondary school on December 9, 1969.

In 1975, she got a receipt of the money she owed the school and promised to repay it someday.

The day finally came and on Monday, December 14, 2020, the woman paid the debt which stood at KSh 412.

After receiving the funds, the school responded in a letter that read;

“You are truly a Saint Louis trained person to be keeping a paper that was issued since 1975 and sent your son up to clear a debt that is as little as KSh 412 in the year 2020 gives me hope that there are good people in this country who have not become rotten with greed.”

In a separate story earlier reported on, singer Tanasha Donna settled a debt she owed a make artist identified as Zenaglam after intense public bashing.

In her defense, the singer stated that she was not aware that payments to the make up artist had been delayed.

“I have a team that handles finance for projects, however I understand that my name is the one that will get jeopardized and not the team. “I would like to state that the payment has been made! I apologize on behalf of myself and my team,” she wrote.
