Wangui Ng’ang’a: City Politician Gifts Thee Pluto KSh 1 Million for Shaving Signature Dreadlocks

YouTuber and content creator Thee Pluto was on Tuesday, April 5 gifted KSh 1 million for shaving his signature dreadlocks. 

The content creator was given the money in cash by Nairobi Women Rep aspirant Wangui Ng’ang’a whose relationship with Pluto has been a subject of speculations. 

Pluto received the cash in the presence of the online media community. 

“Serikali ya kusema na kutenda. Received. Thank you mheshimiwa,” the YouTuber wrote on Instagram. 

In an interview with Mungai Eve, Pluto disclosed that he shaved his dreadlocks after being dared by Wangui, adding that he would not have shaved if there was no money involved.

He stated that he took time to contemplate before finally visiting the barber. 

“Someone dared me that If I shave my dreads they would give me a million in cash. The offer was made weeks ago. I thought about it and I finally decided to go through with it 

“I would not have shaved the dreadlocks if there was no money involved, it was my signature look. I might return them after a week or a month, my hair my choice. I have had the dreadlocks since 2016,” he said. 

In a recent Q & A session with her fans on Instagram, Pluto said he pays KSh 100,000 monthly rent for his apartment in Kilimani despite owning a home. 

“I have a house but where I’m living now narent. Due to many CBD operations na kusave on fuel too. I pay KSh 100,000+,” he said. 

He added that he spends at least KSh 7,000 per day, the bulk of which is used on fuel.

“I’m not a spendthrift. Maybe 7K a day. Of which 3K to 5K ni fuel sana sana,” Pluto said.
