A video of talented singer Nikita Kering stirring Ugali in a traditional fireplace has emerged on social media sparking mixed reactions.
In an undated video shared by her mother, Ann Kering, the 19-year-old singer is seen cooking Ugali on the fireplace that is common in the Kalenjin community.
Ann noted that the singer was preparing lunch.
“Lunch is served,” Ann captioned the video.
She attached Gabriel Omollo’s Lunchtime song to the video.
The video sparked reactions from netizens who praised her cooking skills.
Japhet Kiambi: Awesome. Cherishing our roots and training her to be an African woman is a rare gesture.
Jacqueline Jebiwott: Good job Nikita Kering, most of your age mates can not cook even for one person.
Kokusima Lucresia: Can this young lady be any greater? That’s amazing. Singing and now she’s cooking ugali?
Anne Bitok: Typical wife material. Such a humble soul, she’s a celeb, yet an epitome of a down to earth simple Nandi gal at the same time! Thanks to mama great job namesake, we are so proud.
A month ago, Nikita left his fans in awe after sharing a throwback video of herself performing in church.
The video has the young songbird performing after being invited on stage by celebrated Kalenjin singer Emmy Kosgei.
And in a show of her musical prowess, Nikita performed the latter’s hit song, Taunet Nelel leaving the congregation stunned by her mastery of the song.
“When I am on stage it doesn’t really matter to me but it’s kinda scary and my body was a little bit shaky. But then after singing the first verse, I get used to it,” the singer said.
