A video of a mutura seller imitating international celebrity chef, Salt Bae has gone viral on social media sparking mixed reactions among netizens.
In the video, the mutura seller could be seen chopping his ware nicely before sprinkling salt on it the same way Salt Bae does when serving his guests.
For starters, Salt Bae is a Turkish chef and restaurateur whose technique for preparing and seasoning meat went viral on social media making him an internet meme in January 2017.
Ali Mzee Abdallah: You made my evening buddy
Omar Elbusaid: Kenya ndio nchi pekee unapata furaha za bure
Stevoh Muly: Our very own salt Bae, pia ss Kenya hatuachwi nyuma. Hii base iko wapi?
Gacheche Senior: When your work becomes a hobby
In a separate story on GOTTA.news, city lawyer Donald Kipkorir slammed Deputy President William Ruto for calling Salt Bae a hustler.
During his trip to Dubai, the DP described Salt Bae as a hustler who made his name out of salt, meat (nyama choma) and a knife.
“This evening I interacted with Hustler Salt Bae, a Turkish butcher, who has created a successful hustle out of salt, nyama and a knife.
“Mahustler wa Kenyatta , burma, dagoreti markets na wengine mko na compe na lessons hapo, mjipange. Kazi ni kazi, wìra ni wìra, mboka ni mboka,” said Ruto.
Kipkorir later dismissed DP Ruto’s remarks claiming that Salt Bae is a super rich butcher and nothing close to a hustler
“Nusret Gökçe aka Salt Bae owns 16 exclusive Nusr-Et steakhouses in 16 Cities globally. Service is on reservation
“Steak per person is $1,000 (Kshs. 109,000/=), equivalent to buying 22 goats from a poor farmer in Turkana. But stupid and gullible Kenyans are told he’s a hustler,” Kipkorir wrote.
