Video of Kalonzo Saying He’d ‘Be the Most Stupid Fellow to Support Raila in 2022’ Resurfaces

A video of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka stating that he would never support ODM leader Raila Odinga has emerged sparking reactions.

Kalonzo whose party is part of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) recently joined ODM and Jubilee in forming the Azimio – Kenya Kwanza coalition, noting that their political ideologies resonate well with them.

“As OKA, we firmly believe in an open, honest, and structured dialogue whose basis is the promotion of national unity; upholding and respecting the dignity of all Kenyans; ending the culture of corruption and impunity, and restoring the decency of living within our borders,” he added.

This comes despite the former Vice President vowing not to support Raila, saying he would be stupid to support the same presidential candidate thrice.

In an interview with NTV about 8 months ago, Kalonzo said he would rather retire than support the ODM leader adding that he felt cheated and played by Raila.

“As for now, it is unthinkable that Kalonzo will support Raila for the third time. I would rather go to Tseikuru. That’s an option

“I would be the most stupid fellow on earth to go and support for the third time a presidential candidate without a measure or reciprocity. If I don’t run now when do you except I run?” Kalonzo said.

He also accused the ODM party of betrayal and causing the fallout in the NASA coalition which brought together Raila of ODM, Kalonzo (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).

“The ball is in the court of ODM because they are the ones who killed it (NASA) during the by-election in Kibra when their own Secretary-General announced that NASA is dead

“The rest of us said it is not dead and it is still there on paper. It would take a miracle to rebuild that confidence,” Raila said.
