Video of Alfred Mutua Claiming DP Ruto Wants to Kill Him Resurfaces

On Monday, May 9, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua surprised many after announcing his move to Deputy President William Ruto’s political faction.

In a presser, the Machakos county boss said his party, Maendeleo Chap Chap, considered the move out of frustration against them by Azimio.

He heaped praises on DP Ruto noting that he is the best fit for the presidency.

“We are convinced that the best team to transform Kenya is Kenya Kwanza and the leader to transform Kenya is William Ruto. I am aware that 5 other parties are planning to leave Azimio due to their dishonesty and zoning,” Mutua said.

Interestingly, this comes not so long ago after Mutua accused DP Ruto of threatening to kill him.

In incident that reportedly happened some time in 2019, the Machakos County boss noted that the DP had threatened to crush him after failing to heed his warnings.

According to Mutua, DP Ruto had warned him over his constant attacks.

Speaking outside Kilimani Police Station where he had gone to file a complaint, Mutua said the DP issued the threats during a meeting at State House.

He said DP Ruto looked him straight in the eyes and warned him in an angry voice before squeezing his hand.

“William Ruto held my hand so tightly then looked at me with very strong eyes and tough face and told me ‘I have heard you have been attacking me, I will deal with you’,” said Mutua.

Mutua claimed that DP Ruto was in the company of Garissa Township MP Aden Duale and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who also threatened him.

DP Ruto later dismissed Mutua’s claims and sarcastically apologized to him while speaking in a church function months later.

“You know when you are a hustler, you are handling chickens on this side, you are also hustling on the other and so when you greet people, the greetings may be a little tight

“It was not intentional, it is just that I am a hustler and I may hold someone’s hand thinking it’s a chicken. Tell your governor to forgive me,” Ruto said.

Yesterday, May 9, Alfred Mutua made light of the matter saying he also pressed DP Ruto’s hand on the material day.
