A viral video has emerged online showing a vehicle in a politician’s campaign trail plowing into two persons supposedly in the latter’s entourage.
The two were on a motorbike following Borabu MP Ben Momanyi’s speech when a Landcruiser vehicle ran over them.
The motorbike rider and his passenger who was holding a crutch were tossed in the air before landing on the road by the vehicle.
However, the MP who saw what had transpired from top of his campaign vehicle continued with his speech, unbothered, until a section of the crowd started screaming.
Momanyi then bent over to look at the victim shortly before ordering his aide to check on him and ordered the reckless driver to be keen.
“We should ensure that the old men go home… Somebody help them, I will have a look at them in a short while. Ask the doctor to come and assess our brother here,” Momanyi stated.
The video sparked reactions from netizens who questioned the safety of Kenyans who attend political rallies.
Derik Kiptum: And the speaker never cared to stop even after noticing what happened. Politicians are heartless.
George Harun: Heartless creatures overshdowed by greed of more money and madness of thinking they are gods for being celebrated by huge crowds during this period.
Venice Kamal: In any political gathering,I always make a point of standing behind everybody or atleast stand in a place where I have one or two metres of space to run If there is a fracass. My life is more important than any politician.
Alex Miinda: Crap. Does it mean the brakes stated working after hitting pedestrians. Have seen the clip and the driver should have been high kama ferry
